Summary Edit

This chart plots the date and time of the March equinox for the Gregorian calendar between the years 2000 to 4000. The times of the equinox are calculated using VSOP87 theory. The chart shows two errors: (1) The 53-hour range in the time of the March equinox every 400 years (2) A slow drift due to the slight inaccuracy of the length of the Gregorian year compared to the March equinox year.
